About the Teacher/Welcome Msg

Education:

I have a Bachelor of Science in English Education from Mississippi State University - GO DAWGS!

Later in life, I went back to school and earned a Master of Arts in Education with a Specialization in English Language Learners from Ashford University.

Experience:

After graduating from Mississippi State, I taught 10th and 11th grade English at Horn Lake High School.

After having children, I worked part time as a Bus Driver for Hernando Elementary School and Hernando Hills Elementary School. I LOVED working with the little ones and taking them on fun field trips!

After finishing graduate school, I taught 9th and 11th grade English at DeSoto Central High School.

I have also taught Adult Education at Northwest Mississippi Community College, but working with children is my passion. So, I am with DeSoto County Schools as an English Learner Teacher. I absolutely love my job!
