Students should spend about twenty minutes a day reading to or with someone . Reading material should be easy. Please see the list of questions you can ask your child when they are reading both literary and informational text.
I attended Texas A&M International University where I received a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies Degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Early Childhood. I have my Bilingual/ESL endorsement. I also received a Master Degree in Curriculum and Instruction as well as a Reading Specialist Certification.

I am starting my 22nd year of teaching and my 4th year as an EL teacher. I have taught Pre-Kinder, Third Grade, and Fourth Grade. I also have experience in being a Reading Interventionist. I am very excited to work with your children this year!
