Ms. Jo Jackson
EL Teacher, Hernando Elementary
Welcome to Ms. Jackson's K-1EL Classroom!
I am delighted to begin another year as EL Teacher at Hernando Elementary School.
I have had the privilege of residing and teaching in three different states: Texas, New Mexico, and Mississippi. Each place provided rich, unique teaching and learning experiences, plus many lifelong friends.
I have taught K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade. I have been a Campus Reading Specialist for a K-6th school. And now I am enjoying helping our K-2 EL students learn to read, write, speak, and listen in English!
I have a BS in Elementary Education from University of the Southwest, an MS in Elementary Reading and Literacy from Walden University, and an Ed.S in Leadership and Administration from Delta State University.
In addition, I am a National Board Certified teacher in Reading and Literacy.
Thank you for trusting me with your child's education. And never forget, you are your child's most valuable teacher. I am here to help in anyway!
Ms. Jackson, Ed.S, NBCT
