What is the ACT?

The ACT is a test that colleges use to determine admissions and scholarships. Getting a certain score can also help in graduating high school or graduating with honors. The ACT has four sections: English, Math, Reading, and Science.

GED

What is the GED?

GED is a testing service that offers a high school diploma for students who can pass the exam. GEDs are accepted by 97% of colleges and employers in place of a high school diploma.

•Available in English or Spanish
•Costs 30-36 per subject
•4 subjects:
•Mathematical Reasoning
•Reasoning through Language Arts
•Social Studies

•Science

 

What are the requirements?

Either:

1. Over 18 years old   

OR  

2. 16-17 AND:

•not currently enrolled in a K-12 school
•have a signed Withdrawal Form, and
•have consent from a parent or legal guardian
•Must pass the GED Exam - may need a Photo ID to take the exam
